Tips for Your Hair

1.  Apply Bb Tonic Lotion and Bb Straight.  Let your hair air dry or do a rough blow dry before using the flatiron.  Round brushing before using a flatiron can cause unnecessary stress on your arms and hair.

2.  Blow dry side-swept bangs in both directions, not just the direction you wear them.  This will help reduce splits caused by growth patterns and add just enough volume.  Bb Styling wax is great for this type of bang.

3.  For long wavy or curly hair that tangles brush your hair before washing with Bb Gentle Shampoo and conditioning with Super Rich.  Towel dry but do not comb out your hair.  Apply Defining Creme and diffuse with your hair flipped over.  This will give your hair thicker, less wispy curls.

4.  To keep hair color, especially reds, vibrant, rinse with cool water after conditioning with Color Support.

5.  When blow drying hair to get more volume use a blow dryer to direct the hair in the opposite direction that it will eventually lay.  This creates bend at the root for maximum volume.

6.  To restyle your hair without washing, use Tonic Lotion to wet it down, then re-style.  Tonic Lotion is a weightless vitamin spray that will leave your hair feeling healthy.

7.  Have curly or frizzy hair?  Want to calm it down?  Try Calming Creme before blow drying or air drying.  Bb Calming Creme will give you a more relaxed and controlled curl.

8.  To protect hair from the heat of the blow dryer or flatiron use styling aids such as Bb Styling Lotion and Bb Thickening Spray.  These light sprays will help those ends from splitting and will add a bit of hold.

9.  To maximize curl with control and volume, try using some Bb Gel before drying.  Use a diffuser on medium heat and air flow and try with your head tilted upside down

10.  Determine the best features of your hair. Is it wavy or curly? Usually curly hair looks best when the layers aren’t too short, this prevents the shape from getting to round. 14. There will be times when you may want to spend more time styling your hair. When straightening curly or wavy hair it is imperative to have the right anti-humectants to make these styles last. 15.  Take a look at your face shape. If your face is long, have your stylist create width by adding a angle starting at chin or lip length  (in Bridget Bardot's day they called these man catchers!)

16.  If your face shape is wide consult with your stylist about the best length for you. The difference between the length being at the chin compared to just under the chin can make a huge difference on how great you’ll look.
